To trust or not to trust: When should AI be allowed to make decisions?

The EPFL, the University of Zurich, and the Swiss AI Lab IDSIA are joining forces to launch a workshop on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare. It will be held from September 7 to 9 on EPFL campus and online.

Participants from philosophy, computer science, medicine, law, life sciences and the social sciences will engage in cross-disciplinary discussions on the technical, ethical and regulatory requirements for trustworthy AI in healthcare.

The aim of the workshop is to lay the foundations for a consensus on the requirements necessary for an AI system to be recognised as trustworthy, and thus approved for use in healthcare. Due to the interactive and goal-oriented nature of the workshop, participation is free of charge but requires registration. You can still register for the workshop here.

The program is available here

For those attending in person, the workshop will take place in room BC410.
