EPFL’s AI & Ethics Week conference, to be held online from February 7-11, will welcome experts from Asia, Europe, and the US, and feature speakers from research, industry, media, and policy.
This event is organized jointly by EPFL’s College of Humanities and the Center for Digital Trust (C4DT). During this week, the organizers aim to create awareness of the ethical and privacy dilemmas with AI, explored from 4 different angles:
- business impact – discussing recent AI-related events involving tech giants in terms of business risk, governance, accountability and transparency
- cultural – discussing cultural differences towards ethical AI
- technological – how is research contributing to the ethical challenges and where is it heading?
- regulatory – how the EU intends to regulate AI and are public concerns effectively addressed in other to improved AI’s trustworthiness?
