Yumeng Hou is a Digital Humanities researcher and PhD candidate working with Prof. Sarah Kenderdine, at the Laboratory for Experimental Museology (eM+), EPFL. Her research engages with digital heritage, computational archives, Chinese martial arts, and cultural AI.
Trained as a data scientist, Yumeng has experience in visualization, visual analytics, human-computer interaction, machine learning, and cloud computing. She is interested in leveraging computational strategies to augment cultural studies, especially the intangible cultural heritage of traditional martial arts and Chinese folklores.
