Stefano Caneppele is an associate professor in criminology and deputy director at the School of Criminal Justice (UNIL). For more than a decade, he has dedicated himself to the study of how legal, physical and social environments can turn into facilitators for crimes. In his former role of senior researcher at Transcrime (www.transcrime.it), Caneppele prioritized research from a multidisciplinary perspective. He studies how cyberspace may upset traditional criminal business models, and how it may enhance criminal capacity through illegal cyber-service markets.
